(Mari's P.O.V)

Mari Hisami sat quietly by the front outside tree of her old house. The white trim chipping and falling off every day. One single window shattered by the Halloween pranking kids right next to the broken wooden steps to the old oak door. "Dame! Its still gonna rain?", Mari said as she grabbed her stitched side bag and running down the street into the city."Its 6pm and I am so late for the library!", she kept running towards the central library in the pouring night rain. "Sorry Ms. Hisami, as I said the library is now closed for the rest of the week.", the librarian lady said while locking up the front doors. "I understand…", Mari sighed waving "good-bye" to the librarian as she opened her umbrella and ran to her car.

Mari reached into her bag to get her jacket, but of course she left it at home. "Dame! Again!", she growled and ran across the street into the old church. "I am drenched", Mari said with another sigh twisting her hair to get the water droppings out."Gods or power, gods of might, I bid you now, stop this plight. Stop this rain we need no more, let if fall, nevermore.", a man said. Mari walked down the alter to a dusty shadow door that was cracked open and filled with light and the voice of a young priest.

"Um…uh…h-hello?", Mari whispered loud enough for the man to turn towards her direction. "Who are you and why are you here?", the young priest. "Hisami", Mari said shyly. "Hisami? First name?", he replied back quickly. "Oh! Mari! Mari Hisami and I am sorry I came here.", she said and started walking out of the room and back down the alter. "WAIT! I didn't get to introduce myself! I am Matthew Florence, the priest at this church.", Matthew said grabbing Mari's light grass-green hair. "Is this died or natural?", he ask observing her hair closely.
"Natural? Why?", she asked back grabbing her hair and putting it back down on her shoulder hiding her blushing cheeks. "Interesting. I have never seen different color hair as natural as yours.", he added smiling sweetly. Suddenly, Mari saw a strange shadow cross the burning candles. "I got to go!", she says running away in terror leaving him behind.

"AH!", Mari yelled covered in cold sweat from the same nightmare she has had every night since meeting Matthew. "Not again…", Mari told her self crying into her hands.

"HEY! YOU IDIOTIC KIDS!", Mari yelled swiftly standing up and running to the edge of her old fence watching two boys ride off laughing. "Ugh! Why do they do that!", Mari asked her self picking up the glass and placing them gentle from the grass into her hand. "Well, hello again. Ms. Mari", a familiar voice said at the edge of her broken gate. "Oh...it's you. Mr. Florence, was it?", Mari replyed smiling kindly hiding the broken glass in her hand behind her. "Your house is very...nice", Matthew said glimpsing at it all the broken windows and chipping paint. "Thanks...alot for the comment!", Mari growled walking up to the porch into the house. "I am sorry! I didn't mean it like that!", Matthew said following her, but stopping at the doorway. "I have no money to fix it up anymore and no one seems to hire me", Mari said opening up the door for Matthew to enter. Matthew glimpsed at the messy living room full of paper and books while walking into the kitchen room. "Would you like something to drink? Water?", Mari asked opening up the fridge. "Sure...", he says siting quietly at the lopsided table in the middle of the kitchen. Mari hands him a newly bottled water that looks like she got from a open house.

"So, why are you here?", she asks sitting across from him on a different designed chair opening her water and taking one sip. "I broughted your bag back for you.", he says placing the stitched bag on the table. "Oh...thank you very much. I should give you something for finding me and bringing it back to me.", Mari says standing up and entering what looks like an office. "There really is no worr-", he began to say, but got distracted as Mari entered the room again holding a crimson colored candel. "It's a "Witches Brew Votive Candle". I found it on my porch a couple days ago. It looked very nice, so I kepted it.", Mari said handing it to Matthew. Matthew just stared at it in a fear-full look. "Are you okay?", she asks placing the candle gently on the table, but Matthew kept his eyes directly on it. "Mr. Florence? Hello?", Mari says taking one step closer, but bumps into the table making the candle fall to its side and roll off the table.

Suddenly, he grabs it in mid-air landing on his knee, but slowly getting up. "Where did you get this!", Matthew asks in a angry tone holding up the candle to Mari's face. "As, I said it was left on my porch a couple days ago.", she replys confused at what is happening. "I have to leave now. Good day to you.", he says walking fastly out the front door leaving Mari speechless in her kitchen.

(Matthew's P.O.V)

Once Matthew got back to the old church he ran up the alter to the giant cross surrounded by tall and short candles. "I see she got my present I sent her.", a women-ly voice said clicking her heals up the alter towards Matthew. "Why did you give this to her!?!", Matthew yelled spinning around to face Schwarze-Hexe. "Why? Because she is next to leave the world.", Schwarze-Hexe's says sitting quietly at the right front bench. "But, you cannot! She is-", he began to say, but got cut-off once again. "As I said, she IS the next one....", she says getting up and dissappearing down the alter leaving a chill up Matthew's back.

"NOOO!", Mari shouts at the top of her lungs making her sit up in her bed covered with cold sweat once again. "T-the nightmare...again.", she says to herself turning slightly to look at her digital watch as it says '1:47am'. She takes one big sigh to calm herself just to hear the door bell ringing non-stop. "MARI! MARI!", she hears at the door as she gets up and slips on her slippers just to see Matthew shouting and ringing her door bell. "Quiet! What is so important at this time Mr. Florence?", Mari asks opening her screen door letting him into the living room. "T-T-This...", he says holding a cross necklace towards Mari's neck, while panting and covered in sweat as it seeped down his forhead to his neck.

"A necklace? For what?", she asks pushing his hands away. "Y-your n-next...to go", he says taking a deep breath in to calm himself. "GET OUT! NOW!", she says shouting moving away from him and almost tripping over a stack of papers. "You must wear it to protect you from..."Her".", Matthew tells her stepping closer to her. Mari just stood there speechless and motionless remembering the same nightmare she has been having. "O-okay. Thank you.", Mari spoke through her fear. She put her cold pale hands onto his hands tightened on the necklace moving them gently to place the necklace on her neck. "You can let go now. Its on", she tells him looking into his perfectly dark blue eyes with the feeling that he is looking into her soul. Moments past as they looked at each other feeling what each other is feeling. Fear and warmth.

Mari placed her chapped lips lightly onto his shuddering cold lips, while he moved his hands down her shoulders, past her waist, and to the knot that kept her pants tightened, just to un-lose them. As, Mari lead him to her room.

"M-morning...", a familiar whispered into Mari's toasted ear. "Mmm...whats that smell?", Mari askes moving the blanket over her messy green hair. "I made breakfest. You don't have a lot of stuff to work with.", the voice says touching her back ever so lightly only to make her flinch. "MR.FLORENCE!", she shouts terrified wrapping her hands around her blanket filled body looking up at him. "I call you Mari, so just call me Matthew. Okay?", Matthew suggests over-looking Mari's body, which had made her blush hot-red. "Of course. I will meet you in the kitchen soon", she says "shooing" him away for her to get dressed. As he left her to be, she fixed the cross for it to face the right-way.

"About...last night...I am SO sorry!", Mari appologized entering the kitchen and facing Matthew that was sitting across from her the day before. "Mari, it's okay. It was...fun.", he replyed back blushing the same red as her which made her feel comfortable around him. As, they ate silence came over them until Matthew left with just a wave "Good-bye" and a small kiss on her cheek promising her that he will be back.

That afternoon, Mari cleaned her home to make it more "presentable" for Matthew if or when he gets back.
